1 - 3'+ Southern hemi had peaked the day before but still good energy running just super inconsistent on the outgoing tide. Wind swell had backed off a bit so much cleaner than the day before. Some fun little double up ledges across the inside good for a few cracks. Crowd got a little thick for what was on offer (what's new?) but stayed out a bit longer to get the wave count up. Nothing stellar but fun. |
| Swami's | 04/29/05 6:00 am - 7:30 am |
1 - 3'+ Wind swell that was kicked up overnight was being joined by a new but very inconsistent southern hemi starting to peak early once again(Surfline conspiracy?) Tide sucking out to a minus had it ledging over the inside but sectiony with the wind swell. A few gems to be had but you had to be patient and wait for the those southern hemi swingers. OK. |
| OB Jetty | 04/25/05 6:00 am - 7:30 am |
1 - 3'+ Left over southern hemi and new short period slop out of the west from some strong onshores over the last couple of days. Looked OK on the negative tide but tide shifted and started coming in closing out the few peaks popping on the corner. Light onshore not helping things either. Poor. |
| Swami's | 04/21/05 6:00 am - 7:30 am |
1 - 2'+ A new small and steep north swell barely showing its face with a tiny smidgen of southern hemi. A few double ups on the high tide but pretty small. |
| Scripp's | 04/20/05 6:00 am - 7:30 am |
1 - 3'+ More crappy wind swell on offer from a stubborn eddy. Showing a little size but so mushy as to be almost unsurfable. A few dump sections here and there but overall pretty damn weak. |
| Swami's | 04/18/05 6:30 am - 7:30 am |
1 - 3'+ Southern hemi hanging in there but inconsistent. A stubborn eddy thrashing conditions. A small window of lightening winds around 7:00 am or so gave an enjoyable half hour of cleaner conditions. Better than a sharp stick in the eye. |
| Swami's | 04/17/05 6:00 am - 8:30 am |
1 - 3'+ Southern hemi starting to fill in. Nothing large but grounded enough to zip across the inside for some fun little rippable waves. Very light crowd at first but reached silly long board proportions later on as the session progressed. Nothing a little shouting doesn't take care of. Fun. |
| Black's | 04/16/05 7:30 am - 10:30 am |
3 - 4'some 5'+ Still a bit of wind swell hanging in there joined by some building southern hemi. Looked at Swami's and was underwhelmed by it's wekness so headed down the coast for a check and ofcourse ended up where it would be biggest. No brainer there. Usually don't like Black's on wind swell but figured it was clean enough to merit a walk. Some peaks when I first paddled out but progressively getting shifty as the tide was pulling out. A rare rights day with the odd left lining up but I haven't gone right at Black's so much in years. Nothing great but had it's moments of fun. |
| Swami's | 04/15/05 6:00 am - 7:00 am |
1 - 3'+ Wind swell much smaller today but also a lot cleaner and lined up. A few rippable little peaks off the corner. Nothing epic but better than its been most of the week. Fun. |
| Swami's | 04/14/05 6:00 am - 7:30 am |
3 - 4'+ A healthy dose of windswell had the buoys up in the 6 and 7 foot range. Unfortunately very short period and disorganized. Low tide not helping things out either. The only thing going for it was the glassy conditions. A few gems to be had nonetheless - you just had to be patient. Sat on the corner and waited for the low tide wedges to pop up. Quite a few of these although not real powerful. It had a bit of size and enough face to work with for some good roundies. Very light crwd a plus. OK. |

1 - 2' Heard it was pretty good here last night so decided to head north again. A big mistake overall just surfing this morning, especially paddling out into the dark and not really looking at it. Small and pittly left over wind swell with a negative low sucking any hope of life out of it. Moronic, idiotic, and just down right pitiful are some of the adjectives that pop to mind on the level of crowding on a day such as today. Why? Anyhow, caught maybe three decent waves way inside that were little double ups that had a little face to work with but overall extremely poor. Good day for a high tide beach break run. |

1 - 3' Thinking that maybe with the negative low tide and a small bit of southern hemi running that the jetty might offer something up. Waves mostly wind swell and pretty micro but surfable. Sandbar still way out in the middle of the two jetties allowing only the swingers to really rip down the bar. No one out and barely anybody checking it so I was on it for a solo session. Caught a bunch of waves right off the bat. Some closing out but others were little peelers down the inside bar good for speed pumps and the odd lip. Someone must of saw me getting waves because eventually a few guys joined me but they were sitting to deep so still had it to myself. Tide started moving in and what little waves there were started to section out. Kind of fun. |

1 - 3' some + Left over wind swell and a very small pulse of southern hemi running. Considering that for the last two days gale force winds had whipped up a pretty large but short period wind swell you would think some sort of surf would be rolling in. Unfortunately the wind swell was pretty much already on the fade and a negative low tide was hampering things to the point of almost being unsurfable. I held out however hoping for a tidal push to help things out and was finally rewarded around 8:30 when the tide started to significantly move in and the inside came alive with just a few heads on it to enjoy it. Not all time or anything but pretty rippable. Fun. |
| Swami's | 04/04/05 7:00 am - 9:00 am |
1 - 2' some + Small wind swell with no out- well for about 5 minutes. Small and mushy but some sections offering up the round house and the rare lip. Bunch of goons on logs trying to ruin my trip. Poor. |
| Swami's | 04/03/05 7:00 am - 9:00 am |
1 - 3' some + Time change had me screwed up but thankfully the wind kind of laid down as I went out. Mushy wind swell with a tad of southern hemi. A few double ups here and there but you had to be a choosy mother. Water but ass freezing from upwelling. OK. |
