1 - 3' + Swell on the fizzle. Saw some really good corners go unridden so was out. Caught a couple rippable inside corners. This scenario lasted for maybe a half an hour and then the swell just continued to drop while the crowd continued to grow. Still a few fun little ones. Passable. |
| Newbreak | 02/22/03 7:00 am - 9:30 am |
2 - 4' New west ground swell showing pretty well at the Cliffs with barely a soul around. Headed down to Nubes with Morgan and joined two guys in the lineup. Some fun offhsore brushed lines good for some cracking but a tad bit slow. Tide started shifting in a bit and it really started throwing through the inside corner. Barrels. My channel bottom was just flying me through some deep tight barrels I probably otherwise wouldn't pull. Pretty sick for an hour or so where every wave had multiple barrels. Some of the sets were also throwing really round. One guy dropped in and got covered on a head high one but for some reason straightened out while the wave continued to offer about a 5 second stand up tube. Really good. |

1 - 2' Pretty small and soft wind swell after it had good but incredibly junky size the day before. The only reason it was ridable was because of the low tide. A few little whacks but very uninspiring. |
| Thomas St. | 02/17/03 7:30 am - 9:00 am |
2 - 3' some + Looking pretty minimal on the buoys today so Morgan and myself headed down to the Mission/PB beach breaks hoping there was something ridable. Looked OK so had to drive around a bit more to make sure we weren't missing anything at the reefs because it looked like there was a tad of south swell running. Not missing anything so headed on back down to Reed and ended up paddling out at Thomas were there was an inconsistent and semi lined up waist - chest high left coming through. Pretty uninspiring but good for a couple whacks until the tide really started filling and effectively killing it. |
| Scripp's | 02/15/03 7:00 am - 9:30 am |
2 - 3' some + Some leftover wind swell from the storm finally creating some surfable conditions. Scripples a bit soft on the really high but once the tide started moving out the waves had a little more face and punch. Surfed the pier almost the whole time with a herd of long boarders. Some weird wedges breaking on the inside close to the pier and lining up for a few whacks and close out hits. A few lefts into the pier also. After a pretty stiff offshore calmed down it was silky glass. Better than I thought it would be but nothing great. |

2 - 3' some 4' A bit more juice than yesterday with a new west ground swell showing long period lines. Beautiful 2 to 3 footers coming through inconsistently but razor sharp and very rippable. Caught a bunch of killer waves off the corner with just a few of us partaking. Squeezed myself into a couple bowls with one long slot shutting down and having to do the swim. A few more feet of swell and it would have been all time. Beggars can't be choosers and I'll take it. Really fun. |

1 - 3' some 4' Small but super clean west swell running. About as sheet glassy as it gets. Inconsistent and long boarded out but hit it up anyway and was glad I did. Really fast and smackable little waves off the corner. Pretty fun. |
| Black's | 02/06/03 7:00 am - 8:30 am |
1 - 3' Man it was so cold this morning there was a thick layer of ice on my windshield. Anyhow, some of the cleanest conditions I have ever seen with just a light puff of offshore and crystal clear water. Unfortunately it was just small pulses out of the west barely cracking 2 foot. Small little peaks forming off south peak and north peak for some rights and lefts that had some soft lips. Got better with the tide push and was almost respectable. Beautiful day. |
| Scripps | 02/03/03 7:00 am - 8:30 am |
1 - 3'+ Pretty small and gutless left over wind swell. A few weak rights and lefts. Ya didn't miss anything. |
| Swami's | 02/02/03 6:00 am - 8:00 am |
2 - 3'+ New north west wind swell in the water keeping things interesting. A bit soft but at least consistent. A few double ups on the inside for some carvable pockets. Caught a nice set that screamed through and opened up for a huge smack. OK. |
