Diamond St.	01/29/99 11:00 am - 1:00 pm	1 - 2' Small clean and weak. Was lured out by a freak set. Very uninspiring, but a beautiful day.
Parking Lot	01/27/99 11:00 am - 1:00 pm	2 - 4' Mixed up and kind of weak. Some waves mushing out real hard and others rolling and then jacking on the inside. Heavy rains have created a big sandbar in front of the bathrooms that with the right type of swell can create some spinners across it. Very few of these but the good waves I did get were of this variety.
Newbreak	01/22/99 9:00 am - 11:00 am	2 - 4' Still mixed up but the cross was creating some nice tube sections. Breaking pretty well considering it was high tide. First wave I got threw a nice snap under the lip into a nice little cover up. Saw some kid get a three second tube ride. Didn't get any other tubes myself but a bunch of nice lined up carvable waves.
The Parking Lot	01/21/99 1:30 am - 3:00 pm	2 - 3' some 4' Junky and inconsistent. One guy on a longboard surfing the inside and just little ol me surfing the outside. A few nice wedges coming through but nothing spectacular. Long waits between sets. Blew a backdoor tube. Nice day.
The Parking Lot/Cove	01/19/99 9:00 am - 11:30 am	3 - 6' some + Really picked up overnight. Large West Northwest swell at about 13' on the Harvest buoy. Real inconsistent at first with long lulls. Tide started dropping and the swell started filling in with solid head to slightly overhead waves. Current super strong and tiring. Not the cleanest swell but powerful. No tubes to be had - it looks like the sandbar is on its way out of there. Caught some real screaming walls from slightly off the lot in the cove going through the lot and ending at the pumphouse. Caught about six of these and after the last one I could not paddle any more and went in.
Missouri St.	01/17/99 8:30 am - 10:00 am	1 - 3' Small junky waves coming in this morning. Not as closed out as yesterday but a bit smaller. There was a right busting through the corner of the Capri every once in awhile that would hold up. Highly uninspiring.
Newbreak	01/14/99 11:30 am - 2:00 pm	1 - 3' Small and not a lot of people around when I pulled into the Cliffs lot. A few necks out at Nubes and what seemed to be some rippable sets pushing through so I headed down there. Paddled out and it immediately lulled for 15 minutes. Sets came through and the three other guys out with me went in but two guys were paddling out. So, for 20 minutes or so had the lineup uncrowded. Really the only time I got any good waves. Caught about three nice lines that were trying real hard to throw over but it was to small and weak to make it round. Nice hitable waves though. Then, I kid you not, about ten guys paddled out. What the hell for is still beyond me because the three of us were barely getting anything anyhow let alone with about thirteen guys in the lineup. Dickheads.
Misoouri St.	01/06/99 10:00 am - 11:30 am	1 - 2' Small and clean with no one around for a little left out front. Surfed the 6'4" for the first time in months.
Thomas St.	01/04/99 10:00 am - 12:00 pm	2' - 4' Super clean again today. According to the swell models this was going to be the day. Not so. Very inconsistent. Watched out front early and it was closing out hard. Had things to do so wasn't too concerned. Looked at Thomas by a fluke and a real nice left, albeit a bit slow, was coming through. Real crowded but it was shifting around enough that you could get some. Could of used a bit more face on it but fun until the wind came up.
PB Point	01/03/99 8:30 am - 11:00 am	2' - 4' Super clean today. I think this is the beginning of the swell that slammed Hawaii a few days ago. Some real nice peelers coming across the Point and Hermo coupled with the high tide and glass conditions making for some tasty waves. Was suprisingly uncrowded at first then as the session progressed more and more clowns started permeating the lineup as the tide turned around and the consistency started sucking.
